Stretch even if your not working out at all.

Everyone knows that stretching is a huge part of working out and that you should do it before, while and after your workout. The thing is that you dont have to be working out to stretch even if your a person like me that does not do any kind of workouts. All a person has to do is stretch every day or just a few days a week and they will soon feel a lot better then when they just did nothing. I have started stretching every day because it does not take a long time and you feel amazing after. It really works and its very easy so for you lazy people, or those of you who are too busy to workout when you want to; just find a few minutes and do a stretching workout and feel a whole lot better.

These are the benefits of stretching:

Reduced muscle tension
Increased range of movement in the joints
Enhanced muscular coordination
Increased circulation of the blood to various parts of the body
Increased energy levels (resulting from increased circulation)

5 holiday foods to splurge on

We all know that during the holidays its hard to diet due to the fact that there are many great things to eat and enjoy. Now there are five different foods that you can over endulge in during the holidays and stay healthy. These five foods consist of: Nuts (All nuts contain quality protein and fiber, and are excellent sources of vitamin E, folate, and magnesium), Pomegranates (Vitamin C, which helps neutralize free radical damage to cells and thus may help prevent certain kinds of cancer. Pomegranates are also rich in polyphenols and high in potassium, Olives ( Monounsaturated fats. They’re also low in calories; one serving of five kalamata olives is about 25 calories. However, olives are high in sodium, so cut back on salty foods elsewhere), Chocolates ( Polyphenols and flavonoids, two types of antioxidants shown to help prevent damage caused by cholesterol in arteries), Wine & Spirits (In moderation, alcoholic beverages can help reduce cholesterol, maintain healthful blood pressure levels, and control arterial inflammation. Red wine contains varying amounts of resveratrol, an antioxidant from grape skins that can help reduce blood clotting by decreasing platelet aggregation). So enjoy these foods during the holidays.

Herb that helps with stress

There has been a herb that is being used now a days to help a person control their worrying. The pill helps a person's body control worrying and stress in their body by helping your nervous system and allowing your body to be calm. The herb is called Rhodiola Rosea, and you have to take one tablet twice a day. It is very similar to taking vitamins and other supliments, you need to take them after you eat with a full glass of water. If you have a problem with stress and you dont want to take pills like this one then you can also just do a few simple things to help your self. You can also just meditate, go for a walk, and also get a massage once and while. If you are suffering from stress then here is a website for you to buy a bottle of these pills. It will be interesting to find out if this pill actually helps you with your stress.

Spare Tire Kills

There have been studies in Europe that have proven that having a belly of fat will cause you to die earlier. Most people already know that and this is not a new subject, but the thing that is new is that even if a person's BMI is good and they have spare tire fat they are just as unhealthy as overweight people. They looked at waist circumference and waist-to-hip ratio alone -- not just overall weight -- they found that those factors were strongly associated with a higher mortality risk too. A 2-inch increase in waist circumference raised the mortality risk by 17% in men and 13% in women, regardless of BMI. The link was strongest in those who were at a healthy weight, compared to their heavier peers. Men with the biggest girths (about 40.4 inches) were 2.05 times more likely to die during the study than men with waists that were less than 33.9 inches. Women with waists 35 inches or larger had a mortality risk 1.78 times higher than those with waists less than 27.6 inches. This information is shocking and people who are healthy can still be just as unhealthy as a person who is fat.

Fish in Aquariums will make you healthier

There have been many studies done since the 80's that show that when a person watches fish in a tank, it helps them releif stress and lowers their blood pressure, and it also can help with insomnia. Its the fish that make the difference a person can not just have a tank that is decorated nicely. This will not help their health the tanks need to be filled with fish, the bigger the tank the better also. Not everyone can have a big tank of fish so any type of tank is better then nothing just make sure there are some fish in them. Have you ever noticed that your dental office or phisicians office has a fish tank in the waiting room, that is because when a person comes in for a check up or some type of operation that person does better. It has been shown that patients that watch a fish tank before the go into the operation they need less pain medication then a person who did not watch a fish tank. Fish are not done yet, they also help elder people with elzheimers. The patients ate more and had less physical aggression then when they did not have a fish tank to watch.

Caffeine bad for Pregnancies

Caffeine stimulates your heart rate and raises your blood pressure. Both of these things aren't recommended during pregnancy.
Caffeine increases urine output, which could lead to dehydration.
Caffeine received by your baby can cause changes in the baby's sleep and movement patterns.
Don't forget that caffeine isn't just in coffee or sodas, it can be found in many foods. Check labels to look for caffeine content.

Caffeine can not be metabolized by babies like adults and there for this will harm your baby.

I found that this was interesting and just thought that i should share it with everyone, i am not sure if it is totally true so i am going to research more about it. If this is true and caffeine does harm your baby when pregnant then good luck to most of the babies due to the fact that almost everyone in the world loves coffee, hense why Dunkin Donuts makes millions of dollars a year.

Migraines are not just bad headaches!

Migraines are not a bad headache that people get somtimes in life, but in fact they are a disease that ultimately is not good for a persons life. This is a genetic disease that your parents pass onto you if they have the migraine disease. My mother has migraines all the time and so she has the disease, this ment that when I was born I had a 50% chance of getting that gene also. I was the unlucky one out of the children that has this gene and this is not a good gene to have. I actually just got better from having a migrane attack that only lasted about 6 hours this time. After i was sitting around trying not to do anything to set if off again, I thought to my self that i would learn more about this disease and so I found this site and decided to write about it on my blog.
"Migraine can induce a host of serious physical conditions: strokes, aneurysms, permanent visual loss, severe dental problems, coma and even death."
Apparently I have been given a gene that in the end could in fact cuase my early departure from this world. Just makes me happy to be here writing this paper and allowing you to know what a migraine really is.
"Migraine is disease, a headache is only a symptom. Migraine pain is caused by vasodilation in the cranial blood vessels (expansion of the blood vessels), while headache pain is caused by vasoconstriction (narrowing of the blood vessels). During a migraine, inflammation of the tissue surrounding the brain, i.e., neurogenic inflammation, exacerbates the pain. Therefore, medicine often prescribed to treat a headache, such as beta-blockers, dilate the blood vessels and therefore can make a Migraine worse.
Unlike a headache, the Migraine disease has many symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, auras (light spots), sensitivity to light and sound, numbness, difficulty in speech, and severe semihemispherical head pain. One Migraine attack alone can last for eight hours, several days, or even weeks."
Now that you know that this is more then just a bad headache, and what it does to somone then you should probably help somone out the next time they have a migraine. Not all of you probably get migraines but I am sure that you know people who get them, and so instead of telling them to calm down and take some advil or somthing. Turn down all sounds and lights and tell them to relax with their eyes closed and put a wet towel on their head that covers their temples also. This will be very helpful to that person and maybe they will recover faster then the regular duration times, which consist of atleast 8hours, to a few days, and even as long as a week.
